Farmer and artist Lowell Davis gives us a glimpse of a vanishing time on Route 66 in rural America. The fields of his farm are covered with a mosaic of footprints. Today they belong to his family and friends as well as the animals who live there. Using scenic views of the farm throughout the seasons, photographs from his family album, and original artwork, this legendary artist spins the story of country life during the first half of the Twentieth Century. The film was made in 1993 on his farm near Carthage, Missouri. Lowell takes us on a walk through the charming oasis he has reconstructed using what history has left behind.
